so i finally did my taxes last night.  usually, i rush to do my taxes so i can get a refund, but i knew I would actually have to cough up some dough to uncle sam this year.  dammit...i just paid a huge chunk of change!  here's a lesson to you folks....put money away into a 401(k), give all your belongings away to charity and don't win trips to L.A. or any other place unless they give you cash to help pay for the taxes (even though you'll be paying taxes on that cash).  ugh.

so there's this new search engine that, I believe, has been out for a few months and it's still in it's beta version.  anyways, it seems as reliable as google, but the cool thing about it is for every search you do, you have a chance of winning something, like a free movie ticket (which I already did and used), an iPod shuffle, a digital camera, a Tivo, and some other various prizes.  obviously there are some rules, like you can't search for every letter in the alphabet...but if you start using it on a regular basis like you do google, you may get that "YOU WON!" screen.
